I am journaling everything I eat. Not drinking all the water I should, but I'll work my way up to it.
I am going to give some words of wisdom here.
DON'T DEPRIVE YOURSELF.
I know that eating right is 100% the key ( as well as some sort of exercise ) to losing weight, and keeping it off. But I think one of the biggest mistakes we make when trying to lose a few is to take out everything that is '"Not " healthy, or generally accepted as a healthy food. What that does is make us a little bitter about missing out. The KEY here is to make BETTER choices. If you are craving something sweet, and an apple just isn't going to cut it, and chocolate will, eat some. I am not saying eat a king size snickers, but eat one piece of chocolate, instead of the whole box. Make some fat free chocolate pudding with light whipped topping. If you need some ice-cream, grab some sherbet instead. ( Or eat the light whipped topping frozen...hey, it works!) If you need something salty, grab some fat free popcorn DON'T FEEL GUILTY. Substitute rather than deprive. Find those things that will satisfy rather than leave you feeling blah, and wanting more. Decide now if you WANT it, or NEED it!
As far as exercising, I am a bit discouraged with this bum foot. I figure I am working my arms with the crutches. I will get together with My sis Holly and put together a plan that can work for me. I am really enjoying your blogs. KEEP IT UP!!!!!

I know that you are strugglingright now, and for you being half bed ridden, this is probably more challenging for you thatn the rest of us. However, the fact that you are doing it anyways,makes me so proud of you!! I know that you can do this hon, we are all behind you a million percent!! I love you!
Oh I totally agree Christi. It's like the kid that is babied and isn't allowed to do anything. When they get that chance, the TAKE IT and then OVER DO IT! It's just like that with food. If you say "no" to all the foods you love, then you are going to cave and binge!
That's good advice. I think I'll go ahead and eat a small handful of the kids goldfish crackers right now. I've been holding the bag, giving them a few at a time, and wishing I could just have a few to snack on. Pause. Ok, ate a few of them and stopped. Satisfied. Thanks!!!
You are so great. I just want you to know, that watching you today struggle to do just the basics that we all certainly take for granted, makes me admire the crap outta you!!! I love you, and am so grateful that you are anexample to me *hugs*
